Chapter 4

Somethings Continue

Khu counted the money over and over, he looked at the pictures on the fresh notes, he thought about the idea the notes stood for, about freedom, bill of rights etc. He then started thinking about Abel, for the most part Khu liked Abel, and even took that liking to the point of believing Abel’s anti-government propaganda. The government dealt with people like Abel by sweeping them under the carpet with longs words, that Khu did not understand. DETRACTORS – IMPERIALIST – CAPITALIST –

It soon became evident to Khu that the money in the envelope was his, as there was no one to return the money too. Though there was an itch in his mind telling him that somehow, it was a blood envelope.

He stopped all his thinking to say a prayer for the departed, but words would not come, so he Google searched his mind for someone’s elses  words that were appropriate.

Stop all the clocks, cut off the telephone,
Prevent the dog from barking with a juicy bone,
Silence the pianos and with muffled drum
Bring out the coffin let the mourners come.

Let aeroplanes circle moaning overhead
Scribbling on the sky the message He is Dead
Put crepe bows round the white necks of the public doves,
Let the traffic policeman wear black cotton gloves.

He was my North, my South, my East and West,
My working week, my Sunday rest,
My noon, my midnight, my talk, my song:
I thought that he would last forever: I was wrong.

The stars are not wanted now; put out everyone;
Pack up the moon and dismantle the sun;
Pour away the ocean and sweep up the wood
For nothing now can ever come to any good.

Return to Khu
Human nature dictated as it mostly does that Khu dig into the envelope for his survival, and dig and dig he did, till his envelope ran dry, and he found himself once again , staring into the abyss of a life of hell. He looked again into the space between to atoms, and noticed a quark flashing on and off.

Nokia Brick incoming message:
If Mary M is killed you will receive $1000.00 dollars

: Number with Held

WTF:WTF:WTF he thought, cause that was how people thought in the age of the internet. He waited hoping that perhaps Ju would call, but the cell phone was silent, holdings it place in cellphone hibernation.

Days went by, till the suffering eventually pushed Khu to do the unthinkable.

He returned to his shack, washing his hands of Marys blood, when an envelope came under his door. He opened the envelope and found his dollars inside, and a note.
